Truely when they love for the sake of Allah, their beauty shines even brighter… :)

Our Shia will be distinguished, discriminated, and inflicted by misfortunes. In few years, they will be perishing, suffering plague, which will kill them, and encountering disagreements that will scatter them. Our true adherents do not bark like dogs, covet like craws, or beg even if they starve.
Someone asked: “Where can I find such adherents?” The Imam (peace be upon him) answered:
You will find them living in the outskirts. Their living is hardly sufficient. Their dwellings are roving. When they are present, they are not recognized. When they are absent, they are not missed. When they are ailed, nobody visit them. When they betroth, nobody agree to them. When they notice an evil, they show displeasure. When the ignorant dispute with them, they say, ‘salaam’ (or use nice wording with them). When the needy seek their support, they treat mercifully. When death comes near to them, they do not show grief. Although they live in different countries, their hearts will not be different.

Supplications

Aslm!
When i had wanted to marry my chosen, i had to face some slight difficulties from my parents. The main problem was a sifference in mazhab-an issue that should not really escalate to such an extent because it sadly reflects, in a way, the mindset of the majority and the resistence to unity.
Yet we prevailed and alhamdulillah we have been islamicaly wedded. It taught me the power of supplication. That i had wanted a partner to lead me down the straight path. And i have him, alhamdulillah, as he has shown me by actions on numerous occasions. I had wanted unity with my family. And alhamdulillah i have it now, after having two kids. I had wanted a smooth and quick delivery for my labour and alhamdulillah it has been granted for both. I had wanted that i dont gave to qada my solat during labour and i did not have to. Both were born after my isya prayers n before subuh arrives. Alhamdulillah. I did not breastfeed my first, sadly, but i prayed to do so fory second. I prayed it would be easy for me and her to go through the breastfeeding and i would have enough for her nutrition. Alhamdulillah so far, my breasts have not engorged once and my Kawthar is feeding well, as her diaper changes have shown me. Alhamdulillah.
I raise my hands to you, ya Allah, and with the blessing of Fatimah n her progeny, You answer me everytime, whether slow or fast. Alhamdulillah. Truely, these hands can really shake the world if you allow it so.

Ya imam
Would it be that u’ll cry when u see the state of the world..
That you see what i see around me and lament on the degradation of life
The low point of womanhood when ur grandfather once exalted our status
Would it be that you wish to tell us whats best but we are too deaf to hear you
Too lost in the glitter of this world
Would you search for ur army among the men who give no second thought to you
Those who can scream at their mothers
Or beat up their wives
Or just simply ignore a pregnant woman who is standing when he is sitting down
Would it be that you may never come…
But i know you will
Despite the bleakness of the situation the world is in now
Because it is promised to us all by the Divine
The best is yet to come.

I was looking up on the 108th surah of the holy Quran: Al-Kawthar. This is from wikipedia.

1. Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.

2. So pray to your Lord and sacrifice to Him Alone [i.e. by way of slaughter of animal livestock].

3. Indeed, your enemy will always be in destitute (cut-off).

My resident maula once mentioned that Kawthar refers to Fatimah Az Zahra. When i read the translation of the surah i cant help thinking how apt the reference is. Correct me if I am wrong. The first sentence shows that Allah gives news to Rasullullah of the coming arrival of his daughter, Fatimah. So give prayers (thanks) and sacrifice. For every child, one should do an aqiqah for him or her right? It is also a form of thanks and sharing the meat ( and joy) with others. Surely your enemies are cut-off. This is a lash back from Allah to those who says that Rasullulah could not have a male descendant and thus, his line will dimisinish. The arabs also see the the number of sons as something that adds value to a man. So Allah is sayig that Rasullullah’s line will remain throughout history through this Abundance, which is Fatimah Az Zahra, while the line of his enemies will fade.

Linguistic Definition of Kawthar:

Kawthar - (faww’al - through hyperbolisation /mubalaghah /maximization).

Hyperbolise/Mubalaghah مبالغة : [to empower a word to its maximum in its meaning (i.e. muscle it up)] - say something in an extremely powerful way, with no exaggerations attached.

al Kawthar - katheer / kathra (to have plenty) - incredible loads of amounts, lots and lots and lots and lots.. of it.

Katheer كث ير has a Y [letter Ya] in it. KaWthar كوثر has a W [letter Waw] in it.

In Balaghah/Arabic Rhetoric - the Waw و is stronger than the Ya ي .

The 3 Steps:

1 - Kathra كثر means ‘Alot’

2 - Katheer كثير emphasises - a lot more abundance than kathra.

3 - KaWthar كوثر = even more than Katheer - ABUNDANCE of A LOT.

This is used to describe khayr al katheer (Abundance of Good).

Al-Qurtubi:

The Arabs used to describe anything in a lot of; quality, quantity, and it is very valuable that you have to guard it = al Kawthar.

I.e. al Jawhar min al Jahr (the Gem from the gems), al Nawfal min al Nafl etc.

When you say Katheer - it can refer to a lot of good or bad things.

KaWthar however, can only refer to good things. (kawthar is mutakhassas - specific, to good only.)

Everything Allah has given him is incredibly good, and it is in Abundance.

AL kawthar ال كوثر - the Abundance.

kawtharaN كوثرن[with taNween] - MANY different good things.

Because of the AL (the) - it refers to one thing.

Some have therefore argued that AL kawthar only refers to the Water in Paradise and Judgment Day, because it is only 1 AL kawthar. (based on the reports/athar which mention it).

However, when you refer to something with an adjective [i.e. saying ‘You have been given a lot’] - without mentioning the Noun [i.e. without mentioning what you have been given a lot of’], then it can refer to many things, even if AL is mentioned next to it.

And so i shall name my coming daughter, Kawthar. :) Insya’allah. May Fatimah Az Zahra’s light be reflected on her and she brightens all the lives of those around her. Amin.

Aslm! The recollection from najaf to iran is still in the process of finishing. I was thinking of the developments of a baby’s brain. Some people think that babies do not understand and would blabber out words that may not be so suitable for young ears to hear. Or may backbiting to another person while holding on to a baby. Or even act our undesirable attitudes blatantly in front of a baby. The reason: the babies don’t understand. I beg to differ.
Ive always been told by my parents that kids can understand, even at the tender age of less than a year. I believe it but it really manifests itself when i have my own child. My firstborn is now seven months plus. In the span of these few months, he learnt how to recognise faces, how to smile, to understand plays and laugh along, to test the strengh of his limbs and start to be mobile…crawl, grab his toys, and now he is starting to climb and stand on his own just when he has mastered crawling forward. His eyes rove around at the sights and he can pick out colours well: he prefers green and gets agitatedly playful with red led lights. He tastes and make faces when the object or food is sour. He laps up new food and gets bored with a dish after some time. He smiles when someone calls his name. All these in the span of seven months.
I read an article that on a study, reseachers found out that not only do kids immitate the sound of words, they actually lean to lip read and shape their own lips to form those words. The study actually shows that the child’s gaze move to the mouth of the speaker and watches the lips. Masha’allah! Amazing! And my baby is starting to make sounds like he wants to converse.
But look at us! We adults struggle just to learn a language in our teens. What more a later age? Yes, it may take six to seven months with intese studying but compare just learning a language and doing all my little baby has achieved so far. Isnt his brain more advanced?
And to see and note undesirable behaviours or hear words tht are colourfully not appropriate for his age or even any age…dont you think his brain will absorb more that what most adults around him can? Kids understand. And if they can talk, they might even give a much more brilliant retort to thr person who assumes his brain is much inferior.
Sure he might he born yesterday, but kids wont get fooled for long. :) Before you know it, they will start asking some hard questions. That’s why kids can say the darnest things and get away with it.

yaseeneducation:

“And why would I not weep, for I have no knowledge of my fate, and I observe my self deceiving itself, and my days are fading away, and the wings of death have flapped close by. So why wouldn’t I cry? I cry for the surrendering of my life, I cry because of the darkness of my grave, I cry because of its narrowness, I cry for the questioning of Munkar and Nakeer of me, I cry from my leaving my grave in the hereafter- exposed, humiliated, and carrying my book of deeds on my back.”
